According to his site, Lew Bryson can best be summed up in this way: Lew Bryson, the award-winning, beer-drinking, whiskey-sipping, brewery-visiting, cask-tapping, thirst-creating drinks writer. Its all true. The man is very prominent in the beer and whiskey arena and definitely the man to turn to for mid-Atlantic (PA, NY, NJ, MD, DE) beer happenings. Pennsylvania Breweries was Lew's first in a series of state guide books that walk readers through the breweries, brewpubs and beer bars. As a Pennsylvanian, Lew really did his research for this book and made it his own. He visits each of the breweries and gives you not only their specs but some insight on how they started, how to get to them and some information that will help you on your visit (parking, accommodations, nearby attractions etc.). Really, what else could you ask for? If you live in PA or plan on visiting the Keystone State be sure to get a copy of this book as it is your best guide to the beers of the state. If you're visiting Philly be sure to grab a copy of Joe Sixpack's Philly Beer Guide as a nice accompaniment. Beer Guidebooks by Lew Bryson: Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Breweries
